The idea behind this bag was influenced by the Furoshiki, a Japanese term for a cloth that is used to wrap objects. Taking the technique of the Furoshiki, I created a multi functional tote bag that is able to unfold into a picnic blanket.

I wanted to create a kite that had texture and was fun to watch fly in the sky. Each color on the kite is made from a painted swatch sublimated onto nylon. The swatches were then cut into pieces and attached to the kite. The painted swatches gives each piece on the kite a two dimentional texture while each piece give it a three dimentional texuture.
